SOLAR ENERGY MODULAR TRAINER - didactic equipment
It must correspond to a system for the study of the electrical installations with not grid photovoltaic solar energy.
It must be composed of a photovoltaic inclinable module, 90 W, 12 V, complete with a cell for measuring the solar irradiation and with a temperature sensor and a supporting frame for the following modules:
• battery control module, 12 V, 32 A with the following components:
32 A circuit breaker for control of the battery,
LED indicator for the battery connection,
4 mm security terminals black/red.;
• a rheostat module including knob for changing the resistance and terminals;
• measuring instrument module including the following instruments:
2 x Voltmeter DC ±65V
2 x Ammeter DC ±20A
2 x Wattmeter autoscale
1 Irradiation sensor 0..1200W/m2
1 Solar Panel temperature sensor 0..150°C
1 x AC Voltmeter 0…265V
1 x AC Ammeter 0…2A
1 x Wattmeter autoscale
Connections of the Measuring Instrument Module:
Connector for irradiation and solar panel temperature sensor.
Power supply connectors of the module, voltage must be between 9V and 30V.
Connectors for the measuring of the signals.
Connectors for the output power inverter measuring .
RS 485 connector for MODBUS RTU communication
•electronic regulation module, with LCD screen to provide information on situations; the module must have protection against overload, temperature compensation, different charge modes of the battery (slow, fast, maintenance mode, etc), DC solar panel terminals, DC battery terminals & DC load terminals.
•load module with two 12V lamps, dichroic 20W and LED 3W; the module must include also a dichroic lamp on/off switch, LED on/off switch and AC terminals.
•load module including two mains voltage lamps, dichroic 35W and LED 3W; the module must include also a dichroic lamp on/off switch, LED on/off switch and AC terminals.
• dc to ac converter module, with modified sinusoidal output at mains voltage, rated power: 300 W, input voltage: 10.5-16V. The module must have DC terminals, on/off indicator, battery low or output overload indicator ans mains terminals.
The module must include also the following connectors and indicators:
DC 12 V – DC feed at the indicated voltage.
ON – Status: on when the inverter is active.
Low Battery & Overload – Status: battery low or output overload.
MAINS – Output of the mains (230 V AC)
The system must include a battery.
With this didactic system it shall be possible to perform the following experiments:
• identification of the components;
• location of the photovoltaic module;
• measurement of solar irradiation;
• measurement of the voltage of the photovoltaic
module at no load;
• current voltage graph of the photovoltaic module;
• measurement of the voltage of the photovoltaic
module with overload;
• regulation and charging of the battery;
• direct current solar installation;
• alternating current solar installation.
The modules must be insulated type and it must be possible to mount them on a vertical frame.
The trainer must include data acquisition and processing software designed in labview.
The trainer must be supplied with a set of interconnecting wires and manual in English language.
